Who we are

Permits Clerk is a private document-preparation and filing-assistance service. We are not a government agency, and we are not a law firm — we don't provide legal advice. Every state lets you apply for a seller's permit directly with its own agency, usually for free or a small state fee; what you pay us for is preparation, error-checking, and handling the filing for you.

The service

For a flat fee of $75, we prepare your seller's permit application from the information you give us, check it for common errors, submit it to the relevant state agency, and deliver your confirmation and documents by email. Any fee the state itself charges is separate from our service fee and is disclosed on your state's information page.

We typically begin processing within one business day of payment. State agencies control their own processing times, which vary by state.

Your responsibilities

Provide accurate and complete information. We prepare your filing from what you enter; errors in the information you provide may delay or invalidate your registration.
By purchasing, you authorize us to prepare and submit the application to the state agency on your behalf.

Money-back guarantee. If you cancel before we submit your application to the state, or if we're unable to file it, you get a full refund. Details in our refund policy.

Limitation of liability

We're responsible for preparing and submitting your application correctly. We can't control, and aren't liable for, decisions or processing times of state agencies. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us.

Changes

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. The version in effect when you purchase applies to your order.
